Today's attempt at the Wooden key was even more futile. Made a series of silly mistakes in the early levels, and had only 3 lives left when I reached level 46. Put up a valiant fight; but lost on the level with the Bombinos, teleporters and spikes.

I don't know how long I waited for the book... (I started playing again some time in June) I missed the first one I saw, then who knows how many weeks later I saw one and got it, two games later (the one I just played) I got my 2nd. I wouldn't worry about it... like you say, you get higher scores without it. Just persevere. Trust me, it won't avoid you forever. Keep playing and have fun, and one day (hopefully soon!) You'll see it and think, !!!!!! OMG YES!!!

I just had an awful game. I lost 4 lives on one level where I usually don't lose lives at all.

I died on level 98,from jumping into a kiwi slice.

Another failed attempt at the wooden key. It just seems there are too many levels there where I am "required" to lose a life.

Level 48.1: Too many enemies too far apart, not enough time. The fireball must catch me at least once, if not twice.

Level 48.2: Ok, I can win without losing a life. But this time, the timing was horrible and I lost 1 life. The oranges were perfectly aligned with the spikes. So everytime I tried to bomb an orange, the spike would deflect it.

Level 48.3: Need to lose a life so that I can get to the bottom and kill the lemons. Near hopeless without the bubble.

Level 48.4: Ok

Level 48.5: Died twice in quick succession this time while destroying only one bombino. Don't know how I made it through my first time losing only one life.

Final verdict: No quest progress.

If only I could get a few umbrellas...

GWAAAAAAAAAAAAH! I was this close! || to getting a new high score. but no. no R for cristal. no mercy form the oranges on level 6o-something. would have had a higher score than ever on an earlier level than ever. but no... Hammerfest didn't feel like being nice!

Although, I did get 2 more cheese on a stick, another sparkling soda, and my 3rd candy cane...

I got 1.4m (a new PB) after having lost 3 lives entirely from lag. I know I should be glad that I got a PB at all, but I just keep thinking about how much better I could have done with those 3 lives.

Do not for a frozen chicken!
