Decided to play a game in nightmare mode, felt like playing for fun rather than progress and if I was lucky I might get my 2nd Key.

I GO'd on 86... I was actually very lucky to have made it that far since I left PD 72 with 0 lives, due to tons of stupid, unnecessary deaths throughout the game.

HOWEVER:

Tried my first "real" Hell run today! I took the time to go through every reasonably safe PD along the way (I'm still item-hunting, after all), and stocked up way more lives than I usually gain with my crash-test dummies. That practice alone should give me a decent advantage on this server.

Alas, I also had at least twice as many unnecessary deaths in Hell as I usually do, and GO'd on the first level with the raspberries (...after I'd beaten them both).

In better news, I found my fifth Evil Liquor on Level 36.

Oh, and ANS, your suggestion to completely clear out the left side of 54.8 was a great one. I always just killed the banana and left the rest alone because I didn't want to deal with a single strawberry -- but I didn't realize how often that lemon and pear were costing me hats (and the strawberry pair still got me pretty often, too).

Yes, that is what I meant.

I've always gotten the pear and lemon down to the bottom right away so that I can get to the effect item
