Also, since when did this start happening? I eliminated the target, and two more of the small ones drop down. I don't remember this happening when I used to play ninjutsu mode, but this is the second time it happened this game.

Maybe you killed the target plus another fruit at the same moment, so the target's babies came down as crystals, but the other one's were a little bit later... Possible?
