I don't know guys, I was playing chrome on XP, it was terrible. The game just stopped and would lack incessantly. Vista or 7 - great!
Really does depend more on the configuration than on the browser..
The programs you run and open tabs could also influence it. "Sleeping" programs that only do some action every few minutes (eg messangers) can also cause small lags, especially if you have not many cores. A good help (but much work for everytime you playing) is to to forbid one core to all progs with the task manager and allow this core only for the flash plugin. (Did flash/hammerfest use multiple cores? I guess not, but if it does this isn't a good idea.)
I would recommend Firefox or Opera for the game. Internet Explorer is too slow and freezes, Chrome freezes, and Safari and Opera freeze a lot. For ordinary activities, I would recommend Opera, but for advanced flash, I would recommend Firefox. Since this game isn't advanced flash, Firefox or Opera should work. If you asked me your favorite browser in general, I would say Opera.
Same here over all. However, I have come to choose Chrome for Hammerfest, due to freezing within Chrome.
As a move of direct implicity, I deleted Firefox off my machine along with everything else made by Mozilla, expressing my unending distaste for the company that created Netscape.
for the company that created Netscape.
Even though I have used it, I have always hated Netscape. But did Mozilla really create it? I didn't know that.
Also, for some reason, Chrome runs faster on Mac than on Windows. I use Windows, but in the times that I have used a Mac, I had loved the speed of it. I will give you more information on why Opera is so epic later.
About the relationship here:
More about Netscape/MozillaMy parents have used it when I was very little, and I hated it with a blind fury.
I can't stand Firefox to replace Internet Explorer. Please people, use Chrome or Opera!
Maybe you should work on your prejudices.
I use Safari and it's fine, but once in a while I get a stutter, followed by a very zippy Igor for a second (which usually results in the loss of lives very quickly).
@Fitch: I know you use a Mac, because you told me in my thread, and Safari comes with Mac, but if you haven't already, you can download a different browser for the Mac.
But Safari for Mac is possibly the best choice, apart from possibly Opera and Camino.
