How do you play ninjutsu mode?

You have to get 1228

in PD23. After that you will star new quest Shinobi do!. You have to get 5 1229

to complete this quest. And after all this things you will unblock ninjitsu mode

Is it a mode that gets unlocked on the play page, or is it something that's unlocked in adventure mode? Because the third mode is still locked for me.

Ohhhhhhhh... I found nijustu mode. Didn't see the adventure mode options. Sorry for the double post.

Oh sorry, I didn;t niticed that you have completed this quest

When you will choose 'adventure' you will have list of all modes (just above 'start game' button) but you will be able to choose only this one you have unblocked
