Yes. To open the door, you have to complete the quest you completed by finding this key - but the quests are only updated after you saved your game

Then why is able to open the door the first time you get it?

You could even find a reason in the "story" - usually Igor runs around, collects everything he gets and after the game he looks through it and puts all items in their specific place. But this key has been handed to him by the Carrotian Council and they told him exactly how to use it

Neko: Someone said (long ago) that if beating Tuber got 4 stars for difficulty, Hell should get 20 Most of the hell levels are comparable to 90+ levels, some are even harder, and not many are easier
