Note that Hell (also known as PD54) is by far the hardest PD in the game, being almost a sub-game in itself to Hammerfest, only 20x harder than the game itself with 60+ levels to it and many splits, depending on what items you have.

Only after defeating Tuber a number of times should you begin to attempt Hell, but prepare to be patient as it'll take many games (and a decent amount of luck) to make significant progress.

I haven't gone far into Hell, I'm just going by what i've seen and heard.

I got my 8th wooden key, even if it was barely. haha I had no lives left on the last lvl & still beat it somehow! Just 2 more 2 go now!

I think the door is scary enough to make you skip it. If it doesn't when you go in the darkness, with the flaming torches and razors, and the button saying "There is still a chance to go back. Take it!"... this should be enough. But it didn't work with you, did it? .

BTW I had a terrible game today, but I got a , , and a , so I reached the true tomb of Tuber. Got a so I reached the second level with more than 1 lives for the first time . After that I had an amazing start but I messed up in Hell. After that I reached the purple levels with only 4 lives left. Died on the first one. Passed the next two without dying. Died very stupidly on the one with the pineapple and got a . Died two times on the first level and wasted my last one on the second. Once again "if I had an S there..."

Got my second Evil Wine, completing the Metallic water quest. It appeared on level 32, completely surrounded by enemies. I jumped in anyway, sacrificing a life and . Died before I could pick it up; but respawned and got to it with the bubble just in time.

Also had a stroke of perfect luck on level 42. Was cornered by an exploding bombino, preparing to hear the death sound, when a spawned right on top of me.

Other than that, a forgettable game. Game over on 91.
