Congratulations!
It's true, there is the underlying uncertainty about the game's future. First of all, it's been this uncertain for a few years, and I believe it makes sense to enjoy it and aim for goals as long as you can.
But also, the website's death would not be as apocalyptic to the game as you might think. Almost one year ago, the
Eternalfest project finally launched. In addition to all the features and lands, there is one function I'm particularly thrilled about. When you log in on Eternalfest with your Hammerfest credentials, your progress gets saved on the website, and you can also look at it and share it like
this.
As far as I'm aware, one plan for the post-Hammerfest time is to implement the land that is the main game we can play on hfest.net into Eternalfest, and together with your saved fridge, not much would technically change for the player.
About your next steps in the game, I'll tell you what I can recommend as a solid strategy of incremental progress.
1) Unblock

.
2) Unblock all other controllers and keys outside of hell.
3) Unblock

.
4) Unblock

.
5) Go for a high score you're happy with.
6) Continue playing and complete all quests except for

.
7) Unblock

.
There is a problem with

, which is partly why I put it last on the list (Few people actually ever get far enough in the game to get it anyway, so you won't have to worry about it for a long time). Since a server crash in february of 2017, collecting your first

will prevent you from completing any more quests or improving your high score. That's because it's coded differently than other quests. It will not however prevent you from collecting more items.
Apart from that, that's a decent gameplan, and one that you will be able to follow for quite a long time if you want

In the end though, the best plan is the one that's fun for you and that you want to follow for a longer amount of time.
