Got a money bag on level two, managed to hold onto it for quite a while, and achieved a new best score of 3.092.619, improving my old one by over a million. Unfortunately, I got a little bit too excited after reaching the 60s, wasted a lot of lives, and ended up dying against Tuber once again.

The thing with Tuber - it took me YEARS to understand this - is don't try to beat him; Just focus on staying alive. Don't make risky moves, just put all your attention on staying alive and freezing the grapefruits off as many levels as you can.

You will defeat Tuber eventually that way. It's really a matter of outlasting him while you freeze the fruits.

Finally got my Nightmare key and grabbed ten of these bad boys:



...also got through that first tough level in Hell a couple times...died soon after but I'm getting better.

Not going to lie, missing my 10th green mushroom like [lien=https://imgur.com/9YUDz6f]this[/lien] (links don't seem to work anymore) hurt a little bit, but I did make it to RC.10 again on that run (would have been cool if missing the shroom had been rewarded with my first N64 pad, but I didn't get any good items and need more experience with the RC levels again).. On the bright side, I'm seeing quite some high coefficient items recently.. 8th BoS, 7th Chourou's Hair, 12th , 11th , and of course my first

9th BoS, 8th Chorou's Hair.. getting closer

Three runs to RC.10 in a row, which is telling me:
1 - I'm getting closer to N64 pad again,
2 - I really need to get better at those RC levels

I'm not sure whether to share this here or on Daily Venting.

I managed a pretty good run. Entered Hell with 8 lives, almost made it all the way deathless, but then died twice in RC.15, down from 12 lives to 10. Oh well

Let's think positive and put this in the good things thread.. Exited RC.2 like this, so I was optimistic. Run went ok, with some stupid deaths as always, but also some silver linings.. Died in RC.15 whilst half the enemies were gone using , but died because I just missed an "outer pixel" of a raspberry.. Second row in a run ending in RC.15 (luck?) which is always a bid sad, but promising as well

Another run to RC.15 with virtually no help.. It's sad to keep dying there, but it's kind of promising too

Good news: got 1 level further this time and died "only" once in RC.15.
Bad news: died in RC.16 because of impatience and stupidity..
N64 pad, I'm coming for you!
