Don't edit the meaning of a thread you already started or the answers makes no sense anymore. It will be confusing. Unused threads will fall deeper and deeper in the list and will be forgotten. So just let them die on their own. Open something new if you want to have a thread with a complete new theme. (But don't exaggerate, or it turns into spamming.)

@jawsdark: It sounds like mcsm wants to just rename his thread, not change the meaning. (I agree with his reason to rename it.)

The big cristals fall if you kill the enemies in the orders shown in the screenshots here. (Click on the thumbnails to see the full-size images.)

what are the effects of these things
This page lists all items and their effects. For items with ----- in the Effect column, look at its quest's effect, here or in the description of the item, Quest column.

= 10pts every few steps (even if you're walking into a wall)
= 10pts each time you kick a bomb
= 25pts each time you collect a Crystal Letter (plus the normal 5pts).
= No in-game effect, but 25% bonus when you buy games, after completing its quest (by collecting 5).
