I'm just wondering ... Would anyone mind explaining to me what exactly Jelly with Corn ( 1082 ) is ? ... Is it some sort of French delicacy ? It doesn't make much sense to me. :P

Not everything is translated as it is so actually this may be something completely different than 'jelly with corn'. Can't help you here :).

If you have problems you may share them here or use the FAQ and Support website for Motion Twin games.

The french name is "Graine de pechume en gelee"
"... en gelee" matches "jelly wich ..."
But I have searched for "pechume" and not found out what it should mean. Maybe a french player here can help us?
"graine" means "grain" or "seed", an online dictionary says that "corn" can mean the same, so maybe "pechume" just has not been translated and "corn" is used as "grain", not as "maize" (which is a synonym for "corn" in the dictionary... never heard that word in English before)

Argh. I searched for this word "maize" because I thought there was no corn in the game... just found one and remembered ;)

@30191: I totally know what you mean about 81 ... I have already gotten it twice without thinking on level 57 (the one with the smiley face inside a box on the bottom). I have come to despise that smiley face. :P

And as for 1082 ... It seems to translate literally to "grain of pechume in jelly." We just need to figure out what that word means (and my standard translators yield no results). :huh: Frenchies ? :)

DANGER, BOSS! I mean, LONG POST!

Just for fun, I tried the "holding out on quests" idea on the Spanish server. Only had a few games so far, but with interesting results. Looking at the Items/Quests table -- thank you, 30191! -- it turned out that you can do well just by avoiding food (i.e. the Delicacies quest). You can still unlock a lot of great potential items with other quests.

So, I completed these quests:
* Technological Advance (making the two books potentially available)
* Difaïned Treasure
* Find the secret golden coins!
* The First Key!
* Learning how to launch shurikens

No books yet, but I'm pretty happy with the items I've found in the meantime: lots of gold coins, several big unemployments, tons of ninjutsu artefacts, and plenty of administrative material (including two pencil containers on the first game after I'd unlocked them). Also found the Old Rusty Key on the very next game after I found the Wooden Master Key! Amusingly, I just played one game where I collected five 1011 on the way to level 63, the first three of which I obtained by level 7. :D

I've actually done better in terms of points, overall, than I have with my English character here. (I nearly reached 2 million points by the early 60s there, whereas it's taken me until at least the 80s to gain that many here with the same skill level.)

Unfortunately, clumsy Igor just stumbled into the last of the Delicacies items by accident. :noon: So I guess I can't keep up this experiment now.

But it seems to be a reasonable conclusion that, although you'll lag behind on all your food quests, there might be something to be gained by completing others first -- if you can avoid those danged lollipops. :dontcare:

(I suppose that if I was only after the books, I could have avoided absolutely everything except for Technological Advance -- but the way I did try it was a lot more fun!)

Wow. That sounds like a lot of fun... I think I'll try it on the french or spanish server too! :lol:

It is not that much fun, Neko. You always have to remember your goal, or else you will get tired of avoiding items so often. And it takes long until you get a coeff. 5 item.

I have started an account like that on the spanish server, going for the two books, Evil Liquors, Chaos Staplers and Meluzzine keys. After the first try failed (at least I had succeeded in completing Paperwork very early before, but then I completed Delicacies), I restarted the account. At the moment I am not playing it because I am lacking time and motivation ;) I can do more on this server^^

A question which I meant to ask a couple of days ago but forgot:

I received a 72 on 54.6, but I had no idea how to get to it, as going into that box early is suicide, so I ignored it. Is there something I can do if something like that happens again?

Similarly, is there any way to get into the box of 54.6 without losing a life without relying on luck? I do try and get the highest enemies before I go in, but I still die at least once every single time I try to enter it:?
